VALBOM, a subsidiary of VEOLIA, is the operating contractor of the energy recovery plant in Bordeaux Métropole, France.

      High-temperature source: 6 bar(g) steam from a steam turbine;
      Low-temperature source: 40°C water from a low-pressure steam condenser.

  • Heating capacity (medium-temperature circuit):

      Maximum of 11 MW in total (adjustable from 1.4 MW to 11 MW), with a maximum outlet temperature of 84°C.

  • Maximum recycled low-temperature source power:

      Maximum of 4.6 MW in total.

  • Maximum heating COP:

      1.70 (Heating capacity / Heat of the consumed steam).

  • Function:

      Preheating the return water from the local district heating system; Recovering low-value heat and improving energy efficiency.
